To the beloved of the Lighthouse Body of Christ:
The church government has been in close communication as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Pastor has elected the Proverbs 20:18 and 24:6 model – his stance is this is war, and should be made with good advice and sound counsel. That being said, the church officials are listening to sound counsel from our internal experts as well as external sources that are not fear mongering or hyped.
In response to the data from our first hand, front line experts, we have elected to minimized our regular services. All evening services and face to face meetings are cancelled. Only the 10:30 Sunday morning service is attended but only to record the service to be placed on line, not as a typical service. The church is asking anyone who can stay away to stay away; but, we understand that emergencies still need to be handled – so, please reach out as needed.
The church will open a YouTube Channel to post the sermons, add suggested worship songs, or other encouraging items. Live streaming for Sunday’s services are being looked into for future options.
Finally, pastor encourages people to stay social as best they can. Calls, texts, FB, and other options are available … even video chats for those that need a friendly face. The new testament of our Bible is primarily letters written by apostles to churches (often in response to a letter received from the church) to express love and encourage the people … the Bible is the precedence for these times when we cannot visit one another.
May the blessings of the Lord be upon you all continually.
